Had a very succulent banana & honey on sourdough with cream as well as a highly savory avocado spread on sourdough topped with poached eggs for brunch! As for drinks, the iced coffee was divine and it was served with a choice of being either sweetened or unsweetened =) We also had a fresh glass of apple juice served with a small glass and an overly adorable tiny jug! The ambiance was tastefully minimalistic which gave tons of mental space to sit and think. Nothing out of place or distracting to the guest's eye--well--except for a few interesting pieces and wall hangers, lol. The decor was... interesting, to say the least hahaha! But overall... amazing food, service with a smile, and vibe. Only feedback that we could come up with was to suggest that 119 experiments with mix-n-match options for the sourdough spreads since there are so many of them! We ended up giving each other half of one another's dish so that we could taste the best of both worlds =) Would definitely come back again if we're ever in the area.
The full breakfast we had on Sunday morning cooked by Matt was superb! Everyone was really friendly, chilled out atmosphere great music, lovely hug of Chai Masala tea. Would actually drive down from Nottingham every Sunday for brunch! The homemade tomato chutney is to die for and the roasted mushrooms are lush!
My favourite cafe in Hackney. Not only are the staff friendly (especially the lovely male barista who is regularly behind the counter), the food is tasty, music choice is great and the atmosphere is relaxing. Also love that it's dog friendly. Thanks for being forever wonderful!
